Journalist claims Chelsea are close to completing third summer signing
Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol says Chelsea are on the brink of sealing a deal to sign AS Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko

Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Sky Sports News reporter has taken to Twitter to shed light on Chelsea’s pursuit of the defensive midfielder in the summer transfer window.
The Blues have been regularly linked with a move to sign the Monaco star since the end of the 2016-17 season but have failed to get a deal over the line so far.
The Premier League champions have already paid the price for a lack of decisiveness this summer after Manchester United beat Chelsea to the £75m signing of Romelu Lukaku.
Reports on Monday suggested that Jose Mourinho was poised to beat Chelsea to yet another of Antonio Conte’s summer targets as the Manchester United boss looked to Bakayoko to bolster his midfield.
However, Chelsea supporters will be releived to learn from Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol that the Premier League champions are closing in on a deal to complete the signing of Bakayoko.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Chelsea close to signing Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko. Medical in next few days. Medical & deal delayed because of minor knee surgery.”
Chelsea confirmed the arrival of Germany defender Antonio Rudiger in a £34m deal from Serie A side AS Roma on Sunday.
The Blues have also signed Manchester City reserve goalkeeper Willy Caballero in a free transfer.
