Chelsea have agreed a £35m deal to sign Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb is reporting that the Blues have secured a deal with the Ligue 1 side to bring Bakayoko to the Premier League club, and that there is already an agreement in place for the midfielder to pen a five-year deal with them.

The same report states that only the final minor details of the proposed transfer need to be sorted out.

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has been in good form for Monaco so far this season and has scored two goals and made one assist in 20 Ligue 1 games for the French club.

It remains to be seen whether there will be any official announcement from either club about the proposed transfer but it would seem that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to get his summer transfer business under way early.
