Chelsea told top striker is a much better fit for Man United

Romelu Lukaku is a much better fit for Manchester United than Chelsea, according to Danny Higginbotham.
Lukaku has been heavily linked with both clubs this summer after an impressive campaign with Everton last season.
However, Manchester United moved ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign the 24-year-old forward this summer and confirmed a fee had been agreed with Everton to land him on Saturday morning.
Lukaku has been holidaying in LA with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba to further fuel talk of a move to Old Trafford for the Belgian forward.
The 24-year-old was thought to be a top target for Chelsea this summer but a move has thus far failed to materialise, three years after he left Stamford Bridge to sign for Everton.
And former defender Higginbotham reckons that Lukaku is a much better fit for Manchester United’s team than Chelsea’s.
Writing in his column for the Sun, Higginbotham said: “I feel Lukaku would suit United much more than Chelsea, who are also keen on him.
“If he returns to Stamford Bridge, Antonio Conte would have to change the team’s style.
“Diego Costa dropped deep last season allowing runners such as Pedro and Eden Hazard to go in behind.
“Lukaku doesn’t do that so Chelsea would have to alter their thinking.”
Lukaku scored 25 goals for Everton in the Premier League last season, proving himself as a top goal-scorer in the English top flight.
Chelsea won the title last term as they prepare for a return to the Champions League in Antonio Conte’s second season in charge.
