Tiemoue Bakayoko is in London to finalise his summer transfer to Chelsea, according to reports in France.
French outlet RTL, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the 22-year-old Monaco midfielder has headed to the English capital ahead of his proposed move to Stamford Bridge.
Bakayoko has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in the last few weeks and it would seem that a deal is finally edging closer towards being completed.
The midfielder will be expected to undergo a medical with the west London side as he looks to get his transfer to Chelsea over the line.
Despite having been linked with a host of players this summer, Chelsea are yet to confirm the signing of any new stars, meaning that Bakayoko could be the Premier League champions’ first acquisition during the current window.
Chelsea are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings as Antonio Conte prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.
The Italian manager led Chelsea to the Premier League title in his first campaign with the west London club last season.
