Chelsea’s search for first summer signing complicated by Man United – report
Chelsea are facing competition from Manchester United for the signature of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco this summer

Chelsea bid to sign midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco this summer has been complicated by Manchester United’s interest in the player, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Bakayoko is still one of Chelsea’s top transfer targets this summer but the Red Devils are also being linked with the France international.
Bakayoko has long been linked with a move to Chelsea and Antonio Conte is keen to bring in a new midfielder as he prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.
However, the latest reports seem to suggest that the west London side will be facing a battle with Manchester United to secure his signature this summer.
Chelsea have been linked with a number of players during the summer transfer window but the Blues are yet to bring in any new signings so far.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have only recruited defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica as Jose Mourinho moved quickly to bolster his rearguard options ahead of his second season in charge.
Both Chelsea and Manchester United are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after missing out last term.
