Nemanja Matic is keen on a transfer from Manchester United to Chelsea this summer, say reports
Nemanja Matic is keen on a move to Manchester United from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Serbian midfielder is open to a move to Old Trafford to link up with his former manager Jose Mourinho this summer.
The same article states that Matic “fears” that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants him out of the west London club and that he may have played his last game for the Blues.
The report also states that Mourinho has Matic on his list of midfield targets this summer along with the likes of Tottenham star Eric Dier.
The story says that Juventus have also been linked with Matic in a part-exchange deal to bring left-back Alex Sandro to Chelsea this summer.
Matic played under Mourinho during the Portuguese coach’s second spell in charge at Chelsea and helped the Blues win the Premier League and EFL Cup in the 2014-15 season.
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Mourinho prepares his team for a return to the Champions League and searches for a long-term successor to Michael Carrick.
