Top 23-year-old wants £150,000 a week to sign for Chelsea – report
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wants wages of £150,000 a week to sign for Chelsea this summer, say reports

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will demand wages of £150,000 a week if he is to sign for Chelsea from Arsenal this summer, according to reports.
Website Goal is reporting that Chelsea are still keen on trying to sign the 23-year-old midfielder from the Gunners, despite Arsenal’s insistence that he is not for sale.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has one year left on his current contract at The Emirates and has not yet signed a new deal with the north London side.
The same report says that Arsenal want to keep Oxlade-Chamberlain but are “struggling” to meet his wage demands in a new contract.
The story also says that a fee of around £35m could convince Arsenal into selling the midfielder, although it remains to be seen whether the Gunners would be prepared to do business with a direct rival.
The article also states that a pay-rise to £150,000 a week would more than double his current salary, with Oxlade-Chamberlain believed to earn around £65,000 a week at Arsenal at present.
The midfielder featured from the start for the Gunners as they sealed a thrilling 4-3 win over Leicester City in their Premier League opener last week.
Arsenal take on Stoke City in their next Premier League game at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday evening.
