Chelsea are closing in on a £28m deal to sign Danilo from Real Madrid, according to reports in Brazil.
Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Blues are now expected to reach an agreement with the Spanish club for the transfer of the 25-year-old full-back.
The same report claims that the player himself is “convinced” that a move to Chelsea would be the right decision for his development.
It is also suggested that Danilo’s representatives are due to arrive in Europe in the coming days to push through a transfer to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Antonio Conte is thought to be on the lookout for a number of other new players this summer, with the Blues having made Willy Caballero and Antonio Rudiger their first two summer signings.
The west London side are likely to be keen to significantly bolster their squad this summer as Conte prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season after their title triumph last term.
The Blues did miss out on the FA Cup, though, when they were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal in the final back in May.
