Chelsea are interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez this summer, according to reports

Chelsea have entered the race to sign James Rodriguez from Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
Don Balon is reporting that the Premier League champions are interested in signing the Colombia international in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that the Blues would be willing to cough up £52m in order to secure the South American’s signature this summer.
Rodriguez has been previously linked with a move to Manchester United but a deal has failed to materialise since the 2016-17 season ended.
Chelsea have endured a frustrating summer of transfer business so far after managing to get just one deal over the line despite being linked with a host of different players.
Indeed, the west London side have only signed Manchester City reserve goalkeeper Willy Caballero in the summer transfer window so far.
Chelsea won the Premier League title in their first season under Conte after finishing seven points clear of closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The Blues lost 2-1 to London rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
