Chelsea transfer target Victor Moses is an interesting prospect – RDM
Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo admits the Blues are in talks with Wigan over potential transfer of Victor Moses

Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed Chelsea’s interest in signing Victor Moses from Wigan Athletic this summer.
Latics chairman Dave Whelan claimed this week that the club had rejected a third bid – believed to be around £5m – from the Blues for the 21-year-old winger following months of speculation linking him with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Moses has one year remaining on his Wigan contract and has shown no desire to sign a new deal at the DW Stadium.
And Chelsea boss Di Matteo has now confirmed that the west Londoners are in discussions with Wigan over a potential deal for the Nigeria international, describing him as an “interesting prospect”.
“[It’s] something that the clubs are discussing but at the moment he is a Wigan player,” said Di Matteo. “He had a good season last season, he is young and an interesting prospect.”
Di Matteo’s men eased to a 4-2 victory over Seattle Sounders in their first pre-season tour game in America, with Romelu Lukaku’s brace adding to Eden Hazard and Marko Marin’s first goals for the club.
“We were looking for a good work out, and we saw some good possession and combination play, integrating new players and seeing our younger talents in the club that will hopefully be the future,” said Di Matteo, whose side next take on Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.
“Hazard is a verstatile player, he can play in the role he played tonight but also out wide. Last season we didn’t have too many options in the role he played tonight apart from Juan [Mata], so it’s great for the club and the team to have different options.”
