Chelsea transfers: Dortmund coy over Kevin de Bruyne link
Chelsea transfers: Borussia Dortmund general manager Michael Zorc refuses to confirm if the club will sign Kevin de Bruyne
Borussia Dortmund general manager Michael Zorc has refused to clarify whether the club are on the brink of landing Chelsea youngster Kevin de Bruyne.
Jürgen Klopp, whose side are in this month’s Champions League final, is set to lose Mario Götze to their bitter rivals Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
It means Dortmund require a creative midfielder to fill Götze’s void and De Bruyne is reported to top their list of potential replacements.
The 21-year-old has spent the season on loan at Werder Bremen, scoring eight gaols in 32 appearances, but Dortmund refused to reveal whether they have agreed a deal for the Belgian.
“I am not going to either confirm or deny this (agreement),” Zorc told Bild. “Kevin de Bruyne is under contract with Chelsea, he is a good player currently on loan at Werder Bremen.”
The 21-year-old midfielder revealed he has received a lot of offers but De Bruyne is unsure where he will be plying his trade next season.
“I am receiving a lot of offers for next season,” said De Bruyne. “But I am not yet aware where I will play next term.”
De Bruyne is yet to make an appearance for Chelsea after completing a reported £7m move from Genk in January 2012.
