Edinson Cavani admits he is considering his Napoli future amid interest from a host of top clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester City.

The Uruguay international has become one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe in recent seasons, alongside Atletico Madrid’s prolific Radamel Falcao.

Cavani penned a new five-year contract with the San Paolo outfit in August, a deal which reportedly includes a £48m release clause, but persistent speculation about his future has continued this season.

City and Chelsea, who witnessed Cavani’s clinical finishing first hand in the 2011-12 Champions League campaign, have both been linked with a summer swoop for the striker.

And while the South American insists he is enjoying life in Naples, the forward hinted he would have to give “consideration” to his future at the club.

“I feel good at Napoli, but in football there are many things to be put in consideration,” said Cavani.

“I can only say I’ll give the best for this jersey until the last day I’ll wear it.”

Cavani was unable to help second-placed Napoli secure three points at the San Siro on Sunday night as Walter Mazzarri’s men were held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man AC Milan.

The former Palermo striker has scored 22 goals in 27 Serie A appearances this term, taking his tally to 97 strikes for Napoli since joining the club in 2010.
