Chelsea transfers: Fernando Torres says he is unfazed by the prospect of the Blues making big-name signings this summer

Fernando Torres says he is unfazed by talk of Chelsea signing “big players” this summer.
The Blues have been linked with a host of prolific finishers, including Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao, Aston Villa youngster Christian Benteke and Napoli striker Edinson Cavani.
Torres has enjoyed his most productive season since joining Chelsea in the January transfer window in 2011, scoring 22 goals in 64 appearances in all competitions.
And the Spain international is expecting to stay at the west London side for the duration of his five-and-a-half year contract.
“It’s Chelsea. Obviously, big players are linked with the club. It’s normal, especially in this period of the year with the summer,” Torres told Goal.
“The places and names of players that every year [are linked] – we’ll see what happens.”
He added: “There’s no doubt about it [that I showed improvement towards the end of the season]. “When the team improves and wins trophies, everyone individually improves. That’s the case with this team, not just me.
“I signed a five-and-half-year contract, so hopefully I’ll stay at Chelsea for at least five-and-half years. Maybe more, who knows.”
