Chelsea transfers: Jose Mourinho gives update on Juan Mata’s future
Chelsea transfers: Jose Mourinho insists that he does not want Juan Mata to leave the club this month

Jose Mourinho has reiterated his stance that he does not want Juan Mata to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window.
The Spain international’s future has been a source of relentless speculation in recent days after Mourinho admitted that the “door is open” for him to leave the club.
I don’t want him to leave and I don’t want the club don’t want to sell him

Mata’s first-team opportunities have been severely restricted this season, with the 25-year-old having been limited to just 11 Premier League starts.
But Mourinho has been thrilled with the playmaker’s response after he was substituted early in the second half of Wednesday’s 3-0 win at Southampton.
“No [he has not been to see me]. And today he trained in a fantastic way,” said Mourinho.
“I think he focused more on what I told him after the game at Southampton, when said that I don’t want him to leave. He was focused on that and not on when I said the door is always open.
“When he focused on [the fact] that I don’t want him to leave and I don’t want the club don’t want to sell him, he moved on.
“As I was saying after the game, he was happy with the victory. Today he trained in a fantastic way, so no problems.”
Paris Saint-Germain are among the clubs reported to be keeping an eye on Mata’s situation, but Mourinho added: “No, [there has not been any interest in him]. I keep saying that I want him to stay. There aren’t any offers.”
