Chelsea transfers: Jose Mourinho outlines January plans
Chelsea transfers: Jose Mourinho says that he is not expecting a busy January on the transfer front

Jose Mourinho has suggested that he could be forced to dip into the January transfer market if Juan Mata manages to force away a move away from Chelsea this month.
The Spain international’s future has become a source of speculation in recent weeks after falling out of favour under Mourinho, and the Blues boss said the “door is open” for Mata to leave the club if he wants to following Wednesday’s 3-0 win at Southampton.

And although Mourinho is not expecting a busy flurry of activity during the mid-season window, the Chelsea manager says he would be forced to bolster his squad should any players leave the club this month.
“The window is open and when it’s open anything can happen but we don’t think a lot is going to happen for us,” said Mourinho.
“If somebody really wants to leave probably we have to bring in somebody but we are going to do things in a very calm way.
“I know what I’m building and what we are building at the club.
“Next summer will be a moment to make a couple of clinical buys and improve our team in that direction.
“We work and improve and try to bring the young players to a different level, and we are doing that quite successfully.
“We are not candidates to win the league, but we are always candidates to win the next match.”
