Chelsea transfers: Jose Mourinho insists that he won't "spend and spend" in the January window

Jose Mourinho has reiterated that he won’t “spend and spend” in the January transfer window.
The 50-year-old has been linked with a move for Monaco striker Radamel Falcao in recent weeks to help solve the club’s goal-scoring woes this season.
If somebody is expecting us to be in the market in January and be kings, for sure Chelsea is not that club

St Etienne defender Kurt Zouma is another name that has been touted as a potential target for the west London side in the current transfer window.
But when asked about his plans to strengthen in January, Mourinho replied: “We have a plan not for a year, but for a few years.
“We are not desperate to spend and spend, we have players to develop, we have players who are in the last years of their career and we do things step by step.
“We are building a team to be like the Chelsea which was strong in the last decade.
“If somebody is expecting us to be in the market in January and be kings, for sure Chelsea is not that club. We are doing OK and we keep improving.”
