Chelsea transfers: Radamel Falcao ‘happy at Atletico Madrid’
Chelsea transfers: Radamel Falcao is unlikely to leave Atletico Madrid in January, according to the club's president

Radamel Falcao is unlikely to quit Atletico Madrid and seal a January transfer to Chelsea or Real Madrid, according to the club’s president.
The striker is fast becoming one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards, with the Colombian netting 19 goals in 15 outings for Atletico so far this term, including a five-goal haul against Deportivo La Coruna at the weekend.
The 26-year-old, who bagged a first-half hat-trick against Chelsea in the Uefa Super Cup back in August, has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge and Real Madrid in recent weeks.
But Atletico chief Enrique Cerezo insists the striker is happy at the club and does not expect him to leave in January.
“There is a €60m (£48m) clause and the truth is that he is very happy where he is,” Cerezo said. “I do not know if Madrid have that money. I know my accounts.
“There are no nerves on that topic, so we wait patiently for the Copa del Rey game with Getafe.”
Cerezo’s comments come after Falcao insisted he was “enjoying life” at the La Liga club.
“I was very excited when I came to Atletico Madrid,” he said. “It was a personal challenge to play in this great league with such a lot of good players.
“I am enjoying it. I have a great squad around me who are supporting me and helping me a great deal to develop as a professional.”
