Chelsea transfers: I could have good partnership with Rooney – Lukaku
Chelsea transfers: Romelu Lukaku welcomes Blues' interest in signing Wayne Rooney from Manchester United

Romelu Lukaku has welcomed Chelsea’s interest in signing Wayne Rooney this summer by insisting that he feels he could form fruitful partnership with the Manchester United striker.
The Blues have made an official offer for the England international, who handed in a transfer request at Old Trafford towards the end of last season.
And the Belgian striker says that he would welcome Rooney’s arrival should the forward seal a move to Stamford Bridge ahead of new campaign.
“You know when you are playing for a team like Chelsea, there is going to be competition,” said Lukaku.
“I like competition. Obviously, if he [Rooney] does sign, it could be a good partnership but it is the manager’s choice.
“You have to accept that you have to work hard to make it a successful squad. If he is part of our team I will welcome him with open arms.”
Jose Mourinho is currently gearing up his Chelsea squad for the new campaign after signing a four-year deal to return to west London last month.
And Lukaku, who spent last season on loan to West Bromwich, has been thoroughly impressed by the Portuguese coach so far.
“He is a great manager. He is very direct – and I love that. If he has something to say to you, he says it. That is a good thing.
“I would not say he has given me a hard time but he is very direct and in your face. I have had to work more than I ever have but I like to work.”
