Charlie Nicholas states his prediction for Chelsea v Everton
Charlie Nicholas looks ahead to Chelsea's League Cup clash with Everton on Wednesday night

Charlie Nicholas is backing Michy Batshuayi to inspire Chelsea to a 2-0 victory over Everton in the League Cup fourth round on Wednesday night.
The west London side head into the game fresh from their thrilling 4-2 victory over Watford in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
Batshuayi was the hero for Chelsea as he came off the bench to score twice and help inspire a comeback from Antonio Conte’s men, who had been trailing Watford 2-1.
And former Arsenal star Nicholas is tipping the Belgian striker to be the man once again on Wednesday night as Conte’s side look to reach the quarter-finals of the cup competition.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “Do Everton rest players or try to build something here? I think they are just going to Stamford Bridge looking to avoid embarrassment.
“Chelsea aren’t playing well at all, though. While Antonio Conte clearly doesn’t fancy Michy Batshuayi, he needs him right now and I think the Belgian striker will inflict yet another defeat on the Toffees.”
Chelsea are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table after something of a stuttering start to the new campaign for Conte’s men.
The Blues have lost three games already this season and find themselves nine points behind leaders Manchester City after nine games of the new campaign.
Chelsea won the Premier League title in style last season following Conte’s appointment at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2016.
However, they did not have the distraction of any European football as the focused purely on domestic affairs.
