Jamie Carragher states his prediction for Chelsea v Man City
The Liverpool legend believes Chelsea will be confident of beating Manchester City on Wednesday night

Jamie Carragher says Chelsea will be confident of beating Manchester City in the Premier League on Wedesday night.
The Blues will be reeling from a second Premier League defeat in 23 games after a 2-1 loss to Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea broke the deadlock through Cesc Fabregas in the fifth minute before Palace were ahead six minutes later thanks to goals from Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke.
Antonio Conte’s side are seven points clear of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur after Spurs were 2-0 winners against Burnley at Turf Moor.
Chelsea will host fourth-placed Manchester City in the Premier League on Wednesday night as Pep Guardiola’s side look to move to within eight points of the leaders.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Monday about Chelsea’s clash against Manchester City, former Liverpool defender Carragher said:
“Their performance against Palace will give them confidence heading into the game in midweek, because they’ll still feel they’re playing well; it wasn’t like it was a poor performance.
“They’ll still fancy their chances, being at home against Manchester City. People will be watching Chelsea a bit more closely in midweek but I think if they win that game, it just puts everything to bed. Win that game, and it’s virtually the title sewn up.”
