Chelsea’s Fernando Torres: My Man City winner was lucky
Chelsea striker Fernando Torres admits there was an element of luck about his winner in a 2-1 victory over Manchester City

Fernando Torres admits there was an element of luck about his winner in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City on Sunday.
The Spain international capitalised on a mix-up between Citizens goalkeeper Joe Hart and Matija Nastasic on the stroke of full-time to fire the home side to three points and lift them up to second position.
And 29-year-old Torres, who set up Andre Schurrle for Chelsea’s opening goal, says he is feeling full of confidence after netting his third goal in two games in five days.
“This is a goal of belief. I used to have a team-mate who told me every ball can be the most important ball of the game,” Torres told Chelsea’s website.
“This is a clear example, a long ball and a misunderstanding and you have the ball to pass into the net. I was lucky.
“I am feeling good and with high confidence, and feeling better in the system we are playing with more space.
“Hopefully we can keep improving as a team as it is just the beginning of the season and important games are coming.
“We are happy because it is our first win against one of the contenders for the Premier League title.”
