Chelsea allowed Zouma to remain on loan at the Ligue 1 side for the remainder of the season, making one assist in 24 appearances for 10-time French champions.
Asked had he spoken to Mourinho, Zouma said: “I have spoken a little. He told me hello and welcome. He asked me, ‘Are you ready?. I told him, ‘Yes I am ready’.”
Zouma, who was was a member of France Under-20 World Cup-winning side in 2013, also spoke of his admiration for long-term Chelsea captain John Terry.
“He is a very good leader and a very good defender. I spoke with him a little,” Zouma added.
Quizzed on whether he was more like Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho or Arsenal centre-half Laurent Koscielny, Zouma said: “I like contact. [Big tackles?] Yes.”
