Christian Eriksen backs Tottenham to find goal-scoring form
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen backs Spurs to find goal-scoring form after their recent struggles

Christian Eriksen has backed Tottenham Hotspur to find their goal-scoring form ahead of their clash against Stoke City on Sunday.
The Denmark international scored the north London side’s only strike in a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion at White Hart Lane on Boxing Day.
We just have to open the game up and make our goals

Spurs have managed a tame 19 goals in 18 Premier League games this season, but Eriksen was encouraged by their performance against the Baggies.
“The home games are tough and we make them tougher for ourselves as well because we don’t score,” Eriksen said.
“But we just have to keep working and we will get our chances, I think.
“We just have to open the game up and make our goals. Against West Brom we had the chances to score goals. If we score it will be a much easier game to win.”
Tottenham head coach Tim Sherwood played down the chances of Spurs matching Newcastle United’s 5-1 victory over Stoke City.
“I can’t see them coming here and being open to get beat like that again,” Sherwood said of Stoke.
“We expect them to play pretty much the same (as West Brom) so hopefully we can show a little bit more quality in and around the final third and open them up.”
