Cincinnati Masters 2014: Roger Federer wary of Andy Murray ‘danger’
Cincinnati Masters 2014: Roger Federer is wary of his last-eight opponent Andy Murray after beating Gael Monfils

Roger Federer is wary of the threat posed by a resurgent Andy Murray after the former world number one beat Gael Monfils to reach the last eight of Western & Southern Open.
The 33-year-old, who is a five-time champion at Cincinnati, edged to a close-fought 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 victory over his French opponent to set up a meeting with Murray on Thursday night.
He was close against Tsonga last week… could have had a run there. That’s why I know the danger of this match tomorrow

And Federer, who trails the Scot 11-10 in head-to-head, is anticipating a tough quarter-final match against the two-time Major champion.
“I played a really good match against him in Australia,” Federer told ESPN.
“I know he probably wasn’t at 100 per cent but I personally played a good match. That’s how I have to come out tomorrow.”
Federer continued: “I’m happy for him that he’s playing [well] again. He was close against Tsonga last week… could have had a run there. That’s why I know the danger of this match tomorrow.
“I think it was a huge match for him to beat Isner. Those are the kind of matches you need to win to get going again. I know I’m in for a tough one.”
