Cincinnati Masters 2014: No12 seed Caroline Wozniacki excited to face Serena Williams after beating Agnieszka Radwanska

Caroline Wozniacki is eyeing revenge against Serena Williams in the semi-final of Western & Southern Open after beating Agnieszka Radwanska on Friday night.
The 24-year-old Dane edged past the fourth seed in a close-fought two-setter 6-4, 7-6 (5) to set up a meeting with the 17-time Grand Slam champion in Cincinnati.

“We know each other’s games so well,” Wozniacki said.
“I know where she likes to serve. Whenever it gets close, I kind of know her favorite spots. I know obviously that we’re going to have long rallies out there.
“So I just kept grinding and going for it as well. And in the end she tried to be more aggressive and go more for the lines, so it was important for me to keep my head and keep cool out there.”
Wozniacki was beaten by Williams in a thrilling three-set thriller in Montreal last week, and the No12 seed is excited by the challenge of taking on one of the all-time greats.
“We’ve always been close, so that doesn’t really matter. We’re both fighters and once we’re on the court we both want to win,” Wozniacki added.
“She beat me last week 7-5 in the third, which I would like to get my revenge for, but it’s going to be tough.
“She has played really well the last few matches. I’m excited for the challenge – but I need to play up to my best tennis to have a chance to win.”
Elsewhere, Maria Sharapova beat Simona Halep 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 after over two and a half hour to set up a semi-final meeting against Ana Ivanovic.
