Cristiano Ronaldo has underlined his status as the most popular sportsperson on Twitter after surpassing 30 million followers on the social network.
Ronaldo’s is the 13th most-followed account on Twitter, behind the likes of Katy Perry, Justin Beiber and Barack Obama.
The 29-year-old Real Madrid and Portugal star tweeted his delight at reaching the landmark on Wednesday evening.
