Crystal Palace 0 Swansea 2: Laudrup thrilled to cap ‘great week’
Crystal Palace 0 Swansea 2: Michael Laudrup says he is thrilled to cap a "great week" with a victory at Selhurst Park
A delighted Michael Laudrup hailed a “great week” for Swansea City after the Dane’s side eased to victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Michu scored in the second minute to notch up his third goal in as many games in all competitions for the Welsh outfit following his strikes against Liverpool and Valencia.
And Swansea winger Nathan Dyer sealed three points with a 48th-minute effort as Palace struggled to test the League Cup holders and remain in the Premier League’s bottom three.
“It’s been a great week. It’s our third game in just six days and an important win for us,” Laudrup told BBC Sport.
“Overall I have to very pleased with a game I felt we dominated from start to finish.
“What we are trying to do is use the squad and I made four or five changes because I need everyone to contribute.”
Meanwhile, Palace manager Ian Holloway admitted he was struggling to find any positives from the loss to Swansea.
“I can’t see a positive thing. We were awful, so I am very disappointed.
“I think we were completely outplayed by a better team and there is a lot of work for us to do.
“I had a little go at the players because they need to show that fight and desire. We maybe showed Swansea too much respect.”
