David Moyes is the perfect choice for Man United, says Harry Redknapp
QPR's Harry Redknapp believes Everton manager David Moyes is the "perfect choice" to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Man United

Harry Redknapp believes Everton manager David Moyes is the “perfect choice” to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.
The 71-year-old Red Devils boss is set to stand down at the end of the season following his 13th Premier League title of a decorated 26-year reign at Old Trafford.
United have moved fast to appoint a long-term replacement to continue Ferguson’s legacy, with Toffees boss Moyes set to take over on a six-year deal on 1 July.
And Redknapp believes the 20-time English champions have made a shrewd appointment.
“It’s a great job for David. I couldn’t be more pleased for him,” said the Queens Park Rangers manager.
“He’s a fantastic man and a top manager. I think he’s the perfect choice for Manchester United.”
Like Redknapp, Moyes, 50, started his career in the lower leagues with Preston North End before taking charge at Everton in 2002 and turning the Merseyside outfit into an established top-eight side.
And the QPR boss reckons the Everton boss has earned his chance at Old Trafford and praised United’s decision to place their faith in a British manager.
“I think it’s good for the British game that they’re giving a British coach a chance,” added Redknapp.
“They’ve not gone abroad but gone for someone who has done his apprenticeship, managed the lower levels and come through the system.
“It gives great hope to young British managers who are working in the lower divisions. There’s some real talented young lads out there.
“He’s come through from the bottom. He did a fantastic job at Everton and now he’s got the United job.”
