Djibril Cisse excited by Queens Park Rangers future
Djibril Cisse is excited to be part of Queens Park Rangers' future, with the club already having signed five players this summer

Djibril Cisse has admitted he is excited by Queens Park Rangers’ future, with manager Mark Hughes having already completed five new signing already this summer.
The 30-year-old French striker scored six goals in eight appearances for the Hoops after he signed from Lazio for a cut-price £4m in January.
Cisse scored in QPR’s 3-2 defeat by Manchester City on the final day of the season but despite the loss, Hughes’ side avoided relegation after Bolton Wanderers failed to beat Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.
Hughes has already strengthened his squad, with Samba Diakite, Andy Johnson, Robert Green and Ryan Nelsen all signing permanent deals, while highly-rated defender Fabio has joined on a season-long loan from Manchester United.
And Cisse feels Hughes’ acquisitions and the ongoing improvements at the club, masterminded by owner Tony Fernandes, proves QPR are going places.
“I really look forward to some new signings, the training ground looks really, really different and better, so everything is good for a good season,” Cisse told Sky Sports.
“There is a lot of potential, Tony [Fernandes] is someone who is a winner, he likes to win and he wants QPR to do well this season.
“He is doing everything he can to bring in some players and to build a really good team. I’m really happy to be here, to be a part of it and to be able to help QPR to grow. I’m really proud of that.”
