Eden Hazard has heaped praise on Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur target Divock Origi after the Belgium striker’s performance against USA.
The Lille man, who is being heavily linked with a switch to Anfield, started ahead of Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku and drew a string of top saves from Everton and USA goalkeeper Tim Howard on Tuesday night.

Belgium eventually sealed their place in the quarter-finals after Kevin de Bruyne and Lukaku scored in extra-time, with USA substitute Julian Green netting a consolation in a 2-1 loss to Marc Wilmots’s side.
And Chelsea star Hazard, who is yet to score in the World Cup in Brazil, was quick to praise 19-year-old Origi.
“Divock also put in a great display. Now we have choice up front, that’s great,” Hazard said.
“There was a time when we didn’t have a lot of strikers, so we’re not going to complain.”
Meanwhile, Hazard defended Lukaku after the Blues striker ended his goal drought against the Americans despite being dropped to the bench.
“We knew very well, and he was the first to admit it, that he had not played well in his first two games,” Hazard added.
“We have always helped him by telling him he would eventually be a match-winner. He showed that today.”
