Dzeko, Hamann & more: Twitter reacts as Dortmund, Madrid progress
Edin Dzeko and Didi Hamann both tweet their thoughts after Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid both reach the semi-finals

Borussia Dortmund booked their place in the Champions League semi-finals in dramatic fashion after a 3-2 victory over Malaga.
The German champions scored twice in added time, with the final goal appearing to be offside, to secure a 4-3 aggregate win, while Real Madrid progressed despite a 3-2 loss to Galatasaray.
Here is the best of the Twitter reaction, in chronological order, to an unpredictable night of European football.
Swansea midfielder Wayne Routledge (@WayneRoutledge) isn’t surprised to see Madrid surge into an early lead: “That just seemed so inevitable… #Ronaldo”
Former Crystal Palace striker Mark Bright (@Mark__Bright) does what most football fans did after Ronaldo’s goal: “Game over, change channel, Dortmund v Malaga now.. #CL”
Ex-Bradford City midfielder Chris Kamara (@chris_kammy) is something of a wordsmith: “Joaquin, commonly known as Whackeen, scores to put Malaga 1-0 up (for those not watching -:)!”
Swansea goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel (@GerryTremmel) can see a touch of the Swans in Dortmund’s leveller: “Wow. What a Goal. Great Passing style. Like Swansea?”
Ajax striker Ryan Babel (@RyanBabel) is impressed by Emmanuel Eboue’s strike: “What a goal… #Eboue”
Ex-Newcastle United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop (@ShakaHislop) can’t believe Wesley Sneijder’s miss – he was soon to make amends: “Wesley Sneijder with a guilt-edged, and frankly very ugly, miss. Might have changed things…slightly.”
Sunderland defender Carlos Cuellar (@Cuellar2) is thrilled to see Malaga score: “Gooolllllll!!!!! Vamos Malaga!!! #Champions”
But two late Dortmund goals reverse the tie, and Marseille’s Joey Barton (@Joey7Barton) feels it’s harsh: “What a finish. Malaga didn’t deserve to lose that. What a game. What an advert for the Champions League.”
Former AC Milan midfiedler Ruud Gullit (@GullitR) is critical of the officials: “What an unbelieveble end to the game #Dortmund. What a great end to football. And what blunders by the ref and linesman today.”
Manchester City striker and reported Dortmund target Edin Dzeko (@EdDzeko) praises the German side’s spirit: “RESPECT DORTMUND! When you believe in football, anything is possible! #FantasticGame #ChampionsLeague”
Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones (@Brad_Jones15) congratulates his former team-mate: “Congrats Kardes @nurisahin05 Unbelievable!”
Stoke City striker Michael Owen (@themichaelowen) reckons it could be Dortmund’s year: “Wow. How did Dortmund win that? When things like that happen, you start to wonder whether their name is written on the trophy this year.”
Former Bayern midfielder Dietmar Hamann (@DietmarHamann) enjoyed the drama: “Dramatic finish in the Dortmund game, got to feel for Malaga they have been superb tonight. Nothing beats the Champions league.”#
Finally, on Facebook, Pepe Reina expresses his disappointment after Malaga crash out: “Proud to be Spanish and to have supported Malaga! Football is unjust sometimes, and they have fallen with their heads held high and with two goals! THEFT!”
