Edin Dzeko on verge of £27m Manchester City switch
Bosnian international close to sealing Eastlands switch after reportedly passing medical on Wednesday

Manchester City are close to completing the £27m signing of Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko after the 24-year-old completed a medical on Wednesday, according to reports.
City boss Roberto Mancini refused to be drawn on the subject ahead of his side’s clash with Arsenal amid speculation that Dzeko had undergone a medical in London hours before the match. He said: “We’ve agreed a fee. He’s a good player and all the teams in Europe want him.
“We have an important game at Arsenal coming up and I will speak about him after that.”
Dzeko has scored 66 goals in 111 games for Wolfsburg and the Bundesliga side’s manager Steve McClaren said he is confident the Bosnian international can swiftly adapt to the rigours of the Premier League.
“He is a goal scorer who gets them with his left foot, his right foot, his head – he can score all types of goals,” said McClaren.
“He is a good buy for them. He’s a good boy but he needs to work harder now he is in the Premier League than he does at present. But he will adjust, no problem.”
