Emre Can: It was an easy decision to join Liverpool
Liverpool's new signing Emre Can says it was an easy decision to join the Reds once he spoke to manager Brendan Rodgers
Emre Can has declared that it was an easy decision to join Liverpool after completing his Anfield switch on Thursday.
The 20-year-old penned a long-term deal with the Reds after Liverpool had agreed a reported £9.75m fee with Bayer Leverkusen last month.
I had a very good chat with the manager which clearly showed that he and the club wanted to sign me

Can, who becomes Liverpool’s third summer signing after Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana, scored four goals and made four assists in 32 appearances last season.
The Germany Under-21 international had been linked with a potential return to Bayern Munich – but Can insisted it was an easy decision to join the Reds once he spoke to Brendan Rodgers.
“Yes it was an easy decision for me to sign with Liverpool as I had a very good chat with the manager which clearly showed that he and the club wanted to sign me,” Can told Liverpool’s website.
“This was important for me. I can say it was an easy decision for me.”
Can added that he is looking forward to playing in next season’s Champions League after getting a taste of European action at Leverkusen under former Reds captain Sami Hyypia last season.
“Playing in the Champions League is a dream come true for every footballer,” Can added.
“I have a total of seven Champions League games now and these sort of matches are not comparable to other games. I hope we will progress as far as we can and I am looking forward to playing against the best teams.
“I believe we will play a good role in the Champions League.”
