‘Erik Lamela doesn’t have Mauricio Pochettino’s backing at Tottenham’
Matt Le Tissier says Tottenham Hotspur star Erik Lamela has lots of ability
Matt Le Tissier doesn’t believe Erik Lamela has the backing of Maurico Pochettino.
The Tottenham Hotspur manager remained motionless as Lamela scored a brilliant rabana-like goal to break the deadlock in Spurs’s 5-1 victory over Asteras Tripolis in the Europa League on Thursday.
It doesn’t look like Pochettino really fancies the kid from his body language

Lamela has struggled since completing a £30.75m move to Tottenham from Roma last summer, scoring three goals in the Europa League in 29 appearances in all competitions.
But Southampton legend Le Tissier believes Lamela needs to feel the support of his manager to start producing his best form in a Tottenham shirt.
“What chance has he got? He is struggling. He hasn’t score in 17 games. He’ll see that on telly and think what chance have I got if the manager doesn’t even like that?” Le Tissier said on Sky Sports.
“He has got ability. We know he has. We’ve seen the goal. The fact that he hasn’t done it against a Premier League team means there will always be a question mark over him.
“When you’ve got that much ability, you do need a manager who is going to back you. It doesn’t look like Pochettino really fancies the kid from his body language.”
