Jamie Carragher names Man United’s two best players in 2-0 win at Everton
The Liverpool legend praises the performance of Man United duo Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard

Jamie Carragher hailed Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard as Manchester United’s best players in Monday’s 2-0 win at Everton.
The Red Devils finished 2017 with three successive draws in the Premier League to see Manchester United drop down to third place in the table.
However, Jose Mourinho’s men bounced back with a comfortable 2-0 win against the Toffees at Goodison Park to temporarily hoist themselves back up to second place.
Anthony Martial broke the deadlock in the 57th minute with a curled finish from outside the area to help the Red Devils get a foothold in the Premier League clash.
Lingard doubled the visitors’ lead with nine minutes to go after the England international managed to beat Everton goalkeeper with a superb strike to seal three points.
The 25-year-old has now scored seven times in his last 10 games in all competitions to impress in the Manchester United team despite competing with other big-name stars.
His midfield partner Pogba was also impressive in Manchester United’s 2-0 win after recent criticism of the club record signing.
Former Liverpool FC defender Carragher signled out Lingard and Pogba as Manchester United’s two key performers at Goodison Park.
“Those two [Pogba and Lingard] have been Manchester United’s best players today,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“It feels like a big three points for Manchester United this. Questions have been asked of late. Yes, there is still a huge gap to Manchester City but I think we all know that the title’s gone. There’s still plenty to play for for Manchester United.”
Manchester United haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013.
