Exeter Chiefs youngster Jack Nowell vows to take full advantage of his surprise England call-up

Jack Nowell has vowed to take full advantage of his surprise Six Nations call-up by making his mark for Stuart Lancaster’s England.
The Exeter Chiefs youngster has experienced a rapid rise in the last 12 months; he was named LV= Cup breakthrough player of the year in 2013 and was a key part of the England Under-20 squad that became world junior champions last year.
I wasn’t expecting to get it but to have this news is absolutely massive for me

The likes of England wings Marland Yarde and Christian Wade may be missing through injury but with the lure of a home World Cup on the horizon in 2015 – Nowell intends to make an international jersey his own in the coming weeks.
“I’ve grown up watching England play and all the old boys like Jason Robinson and watching guys like Mike Brown playing in it for the last couple of years,” Nowell said.
“To think I could get the chance to do it now is just ridiculous.
“I haven’t spoken to [England head coach] Stuart Lancaster yet but I have spoken to [England assistant coach] Andy Farrell.
“It was basically just for us to know that we’re in the squad and to tell us stuff that we’re doing well and stuff that they’re looking for from us.
“It is literally something I’ve wanted ever since I’ve been playing rugby. I wasn’t expecting to get it but to have this news is absolutely massive for me.”
