Frank Lampard has warned Manchester United that Liverpool are capable of blowing away any team at Anfield when they’re at their attacking best.

The Red Devils are currently gearing up for their trip to Merseyside to take on Jurgen Klopp’s men in their next Premier League game on Saturday lunchtime as they look to continue their fine start to the new season.

Manchester United are currently second in the table and level on points with leaders Manchester City after seven games of the new campaign.

It has been something of a mixed start for Liverpool, who have been criticised for their defending in recent weeks.

However, Klopp’s men have already showcased their attacking credentials this season with a 4-0 thrashing of Arsenal at Anfield back in August.

And former Chelsea midfielder Lampard believes that Liverpool are more than capable of beating anyone on their day in front of their home fans.

Speaking to BT Sport, Lampard said: “The way they set up at home, Liverpool can certainly beat anyone with their attacking play.”

Manchester United head into the game on the back of their 4-0 win over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford last weekend to leave them second in the table.

Liverpool, meanwhile, were held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle United at St James’ Park in their most recent outing.
