Fulham 0 Southampton 3: Rene Meulensteen urges his side to stick together after heavy home defeat
Rene Meulensteen urged his Fulham side to stick together after their defeat by Southampton saw them fall to the bottom of the Premier League.
Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez were all on target for the visitors in the second half at Craven Cottage as the west London side slumped to their 17th top-flight loss of the season.

Meulensteen, who took over following Martin Jol’s sacking, felt his side should have taken the lead and were made to pay for failing to score an opener.
“We are in a situation where we seem to have to drag the ball over the line. Artur Boruc made some great saves. It was the same against Swansea. We should have taken the lead but we didn’t,” Meulensteen told BBC Sport.
“The second goal really killed us. We have to work hard and keep lifting ourselves.
“It [going bottom] was always a possibility. Now we have to stand up for ourselves. At least we have some new faces in and guys who can breathe a bit of confidence into the group.”
