Sky Sports pundit reacts to Jorginho’s goal in Chelsea FC’s 2-1 win at Fulham
Graeme Souness heaps praise on Jorginho after the Chelsea FC midfielder's brilliant strike in the west London derby

Graeme Souness credited Jorginho for brilliant goal after the Italian midfielder scored the winner in Chelsea FC’s 2-1 win over Fulham on Sunday.
Maurizio Sarri named Jorginho in his Chelsea FC starting line up despite recent criticism of the Italy international following his mixed first season in the Premier League.
Gonzalo Higuain broke the deadlock for the visitors in the 20th minute before Callum Chambers equalised for the home side when he was left unmarked at a corner.
But Jorginho managed to restore Chelsea FC’s slender lead when he got on the end of Eden Hazard’s pass and the former Napoli star curled a finish past Sergio Rico.
It was the summer signing’s second goal of the season after Jorginho netted from the penalty spot on their opening day win at Huddersfield Town.
Former Liverpool FC and Tottenham midfielder Souness was impressed with Jorginho’s goal to help Sarri’s men seal three points.
“Jorginho is full of technique, but I have been critical that he doesn’t get enough goals,” Souness told Sky Sports.
“He doesn’t go at teams. That’s a quality finish. He knew exactly where he was on the pitch.”
Match Of The Day host Gary Lineker was quick to take to Twitter to praise Jorginho for his sumptuous finish.
Lineker wrote on Twitter: “Great goal from Jorginho but what on earth was Odoi doing showing Hazard inside? 🤦🏼♂️”
Chelsea FC are in sixth place in the Premier League table but a mere two points behind fourth-placed Manchester United having played one game less.
The Blues are looking to secure a return to the Champions League after a one-season absence.
