Gabriele Marcotti: What top 23-year-old striker would bring to Man United
The Serie A expert believes Andrea Belotti would be a good addition to the Manchester United side

Andrea Belotti will give Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho plenty of options up front next season, according to Gabriele Marcotti.
The Italy international’s future has been a source of relentless speculation in the summer transfer window so far.
The 24-year-old striker scored 26 times in 35 games in Serie A last season to establish himself as one of Europe’s most-exciting strikers.
Belotti is thought to be one of Manchester United’s top targets alongside Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata in the summer transfer window.
The Italian striker has scored four times in nine appearances for the Italian national team as he made the step up to the international level.
Speaking to ESPN FC about Belotti’s potential move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window, Serie A expert Marcotti said:
“I’m not sure Man United need to sign both of them [Morata and Belotti] with Rashford there.
“It seems to be the direction we are heading. With Belotti, you have a guy who is versatile.
“He can play as a main striker or play alongside a main striker. He is intelligent and hard-working which is what Mourinho values.”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season.
The Red Devils won the EFL Cup and the Europa League in their first season under Jose Mourinho.
