Gary McAllister makes confident prediction about Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp
Gary McAllister is confident that Liverpool are on course to return to the pinnacle of English football

Liverpool are heading back to the very top under Jurgen Klopp, according to Gary McAllister.
The Reds have made slow but steady progress in the 2016-17 season as the Merseyside outfit look to secure a return to the Champions League this season.
Klopp took over the reins of Liverpool from Brendan Rodgers back in October 2015 before the Reds went on to lose two cup finals and finish in seventh place in the Premier League table.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss signed seven players in the summer transfer window last year in a bid to overhaul his Reds squad.
Liverpool are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table and four points ahead of their closest challengers Manchester United.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ ahead of Liverpool’s home clash against Everton in the Merseyside derby, ex-Reds midfielder McAllister said:
“You can never look at it and think ‘we’re going to win this game, or that one’ because it comes round and bites you on the bum.
“But over the piece we’ve touched on levels I think can push us on to be winning again and competing at the very top.”
McAllister added: “At the top of their game they’re as good as any other side in the league, but they don’t always hit the heights.
“Consistency has been the problem. They’ve looked terrific at times, other times they’ve underachieved badly.
“I’m sure Jurgen Klopp must be scratching his head at times. There are times he sends them out I think he’s not quite sure what he’s going to get from them.”
