Tottenham new boy Gylfi Sigurdsson is convinced Spurs can mount a Premier League title challenge next season

Gylfi Sigurdsson has declared Tottenham will set out to win every competition they are in next season after the midfielder signed for Spurs last week.
The Iceland international sealed a move from Hoffenheim to White Hart Lane after impressing during his loan spell at Swansea City in the second half of last season, with Spurs beating off competition from Liverpool to land the midfielder.
And the 22-year-old insists Andre Villas-Boas’s side can challenge for silverware on all fronts next season.
“The main target at Swansea was to stay in the league, here at Spurs, it’s a big club and we aim to win titles and silverware,” he told Tottenham’s website.
“I think the most important thing is that we get off to a good start in the Premier League, get a good momentum and then we can take that into the Europa League and then the FA Cup. We want to play for silverware in every competition we are in.
“I’m delighted to be here. It’s a massive club with fantastic players.
“This club is always improving. There is massive ambition from the board and the players are really ambitious as well. We’re all looking forward for the new season to begin.”
Sigurdsson also said he has been left impressed by new Spurs boss Villas-Boas since his move to north London.
“He’s great, very positive about coming here and the players have really enjoyed it,” he added. “It looks good with him and all of the staff. I can’t wait for the season to start.”
