Insider provides latest Hector Bellerin update, Arsenal fans will be worried
Spanish journalist Gerard Romero claims that Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has met Barcelona officials
Hector Bellerin and his agent have met with Barcelona’s sporting director to discuss a return from Arsenal in the summer, according to a Spanish journalist.
Gerard Romero, who works as a reporter for Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, has taken to Twitter to provide an update on Bellerin’s potential return to Camp Nou at the end of the season.
Bellerin moved to Arsenal from the La Liga giants back in 2011 when Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas completed a big-money move to the Catalan side.
The Spain Under-21 international has since established himself as a key member of Arsene Wenger’s first-team after breaking into the Gunners team over 24 months ago.
Bellerin, who has made one appearance for La Roja’s senior team, was even named in the Premier League team of the year for the 2015-16 season.
And Spanish reporter Romero has claimed on Twitter that Bellerin and his agent have met with the Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez to discuss a potential summer move.
“Robert Fernández and Bellerin were in London before the halt of selections to probe his possible arrival at Barca reported in La Graderia,” he wrote.
“Barça knows that Bellerin is willing to come. Wenger continuity is key, the footballer needs change of scenery #mercato”
