Hull City 1 Tottenham 1: Tim Sherwood insists that his side did enough to beat the Tigers after they were held to a draw
Tim Sherwood insisted that Tottenham deserved to beat Hull City after his side were held to a draw at the KC Stadium.
Shane Long, who joined the Tigers from West Brom last month, gave the home side the lead when he curled home in the 12th minute.
We thought we should have won the game but you have to give Hull credit

But Spurs fought back after the break thanks to Paulinho’s smart turn and shot in the 61st minute.
And Sherwood, whose side dropped to sixth – two points behind fourth-placed Liverpool, was pleased with the north Londoners’ overall display.
“I thought we played well today. We had some good opportunities in the second half,” said Sherwood.
“We never took the chances and the positive to me is that we ground it out. If we don’t win the game we certainly were not going to lose.
“We thought we should have won the game but you have to give Hull credit, they are fighting for their lives and they dug it out.”
Hull boss Steve Bruce, meanwhile, was convinced that his side deserved to take a point from the game.
“I thought a draw was a fair result,” said Bruce, whose side are 13th. “There was an element of luck with their goal with Danny Rose smashing a shot, but to be fair to Paulinho he finished it well.
“We had arguably the better chances but we have got off 23 points and we were on that for a long time.”
