‘Irreplaceable’ Luka ModriÄ”¡ is not for sale, insists Spurs boss
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp brands Chelsea's reported £22m offer for Croatian playmaker as "ridiculous"

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp insists Luka ModriÄ”¡ will not be leaving the club this summer.
Redknapp branded Chelsea’s reported £22m offer for the Croatia international as “ridiculous”, with Manchester United also said to be interested in the midfielder.
“Luka is not for sale,” Redknapp told the BBC “If there has been a bid of £22m that is ridiculous. There are people being sold for £20m who are not fit to lace Luka’s boots.
“We’re looking to build a team at Tottenham – not dismantle one. If we’re going to push on as a football club we’re going to need to keep those players and we need to add one or two other top players to them if we’re looking at having a chance of ever getting back in the Champions League again.”
Meanwhile, the player’s agent revealed that the 25-year-old would be open to a move away from White Hart Lane if a deal can be agreed.
“Luka is happy at Spurs but if an offer came in that was acceptable to the club and player, we would be willing to discuss it,” Nikky Vukan told BBC. “In my opinion, £22m is a valuation that is too low for the player.”
