Jack Wilshere: Danny Welbeck needs to play up front
Jack Wilshere reckons Danny Welbeck has what it takes to be a regular goal-scorer up front for England

Jack Wilshere believes that Danny Welbeck is capable of embarking on a goal-scoring run if he is given an extended run up front for England.
The 23-year-old, who joined Arsenal from Manchester United on a five-year deal last week, netted both goals as England kicked off their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign with victory in Switzerland.

And Wilshere is convinced that the forward has what it takes to shine in front of goal if given a long enough run in the side.
“He got the chance to play up front tonight, and deep down if you ask Danny Welbeck where he wants to play, he’ll say he wants to play upfront,” Wilshere told Sky Sports News HQ.
“If he keeps playing like that, then why [can’t he carry on there]. He’ll score goals and the last few years, he’s been playing on the wing, and I know what he can do up top and he knows what he can do, he’s shown that tonight.
“When he gets in front of goal, he can really make the opposition pay. Once he gets in front of goal, he’s dangerous.”
Welbeck could make his Arsenal debut when the Gunners host Manchester City at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
