Jan Vertonghen wants Tottenham response against Everton
Jan Vertonghen challenges Tottenham to bounce back from the disappointment of Hull City draw by beating Everton

Jan Vertonghen has challenged Tottenham to bounce back from dropping points against Hull City by beating Everton this weekend.
Spurs were held to a 1-1 draw by the Tigers to leave them sixth in the Premier League table and three points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.
The north London side host fellow top-four rivals Everton at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon and Vertonghen is hoping that Tim Sherwood’s men can return to winning ways against the high-flying Toffees.
“We wanted to win this game and it’s a shame we couldn’t score again and come back with the three points,” Vertonghen told Spurs’ website.
“We have to bounce back next week in an important game against Everton. We have to be ready for that.
“For myself, I was happy to be back and I felt more confident in the second half.
“I want to finish the season strongly now. Hull was my first game in two months, I don’t suppose you can expect to win everything and play every ball to the right player in the first game, but I’m back and getting stronger.”
