Jody Morris sends message to Chelsea FC fans about Frank Lampard
Chelsea FC assistant manager Jody Morris speaks about his return to Stamford Bridge

Jody Morris admits it feels “amazing” to be working alongside Frank Lampard at Chelsea FC.
The Blues appointed Lampard as their new manager earlier this month after Maurizio Sarri took over the reins at Juventus following 12 months at Stamford Bridge.
Lampard has a mere 12 months of managerial experience under his belt after the Englishman led Derby County to the Championship play-off final last term.
The Rams lost 2-1 to Aston Villa at Wembley to narrowly miss out on promotion to the Premier League in his first season in charge of Derby.
Lampard took his coaching staff with him to Chelsea FC following his Derby exit, including former Blues midfielder and youth coach Morris.
Chelsea FC started the new era under Lampard with a 1-1 draw with Bohemians before the Blues were 4-0 winners against St Patrick’s Athletic.
Now, Blues coach Morris has opened up about his return to Chelsea FC alongside Lampard.
“When Lamps, or the gaffer as I should say, signed for Chelsea originally we became really good mates,” Morris told Chelsea FC’s website. “I roomed with him on his first pre-season trip and we’ve remained close ever since.
“We always spoke about working together if he went into management and we really enjoyed last season at Derby. Now we are here at Chelsea and it feels amazing.
“I’ve seen first-hand how Frank can galvanise a place, he brought the fans and the club together at Derby, and the way the place was united throughout the club was largely down to how Frank went about his way as a manager.
“It was a joy to watch and I’m looking forward to working with the players we have here at Chelsea, some really talented guys and a lot of exciting young players too. It feels amazing to be back here now.”
Chelsea FC have been managed by four different coaches in the last four years.
Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte, Sarri and Lampard have all taken over the reins of the west London side.
The Blues finished in third spot and won the Europa League in Sarri’s only season in charge of the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Chelsea FC have added Christian Pulisic and Mateo Kovacic to their squad this summer.
