Barton, Hartson & more: Twitter reacts as Fulham beat QPR in thriller
Joey Barton and John Hartson both tweet their thoughts after Fulham edge to a 3-2 victory over QPR at Craven Cottage

Queens Park Rangers edged closer to relegation after suffering a 3-2 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage in Monday night’s west London derby.
Fulham stormed into a 3-0 lead after Dimitar Berbatov scored twice in the opening 22 minutes and Clint Hill deflected a cross past his own goalkeeper to heap further misery on the 19th-placed side.
Adel Taarabt and Loic Remy both netted to reduce the deficit to a single goal but the Hoops were unable to find a leveller despite Steve Sidwell’s sending off.
Here is some of the best tweets from the professionals, past and present, in chronological order to a thrilling clash at Craven Cottage.

Aston Villa youngster Andreas Weimann (@andiweimann) is inspired by Berbatov: “Talk me through that touch from Berbatov! #tekkers #wow”
Swansea forward Wayne Routledge (@WayneRoutledge) compares Fulham’s genius to Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp: “Berba’s touch… Reminds me of the genius that is Dennis Bergkamp.”
Former Leicester City striker Robbie Savage (@RobbieSavage8) reckons Berbatov should be playing for a top-six side: “Berbatov is too good for Fulham, he should be playing for a top 6 side!”
Ex-West Ham striker John Hartson (@JohnHartson10) is shocked by QPR’s performance: “For a team that have to win and are playing for their manager and personal pride QPR have been nothing short of an absolute disgrace..”
Marseille midfielder Joey Barton (@Joey7Barton) wants to see more desire from his parent club: “Great goal Taarabt. Something special needed here or their down. Painful to watch. They need some fight. In a relegation battle FFS!”
England legend Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) reckons the QPR starting XI are in for a half-time rollicking: “By the look on Harry’s face those players are about to get it!”

Swansea defender Ashley Williams (@AshWills8429m) disagrees with Sidwell’s sending off: “Never been a red!”
Finally, Barton (@Joey7Barton) has his say on QPR: “Realistically that’s it. Too much to do for QPR. Had enough chances to get something tonight. Can’t give 3 goal head starts at this level. Feel it is unfair to blame board, they’ve backed the managers. Can’t look any further than what Hughes and his cronies did in the summer. Redknapp was given a very difficult task. Can’t blame him for spending money. It was necessary if they were to have a chance. Players who take a club down should stay in my book and get them back up. Not sure how many will or if finance permits it. Sad times.”
