John Terry: Chelsea ‘quietly happy’ with league position

John Terry insists that Chelsea are “quietly happy” with the start they have made to the season under Jose Mourinho.
The Blues moved up to fourth place in the Premier League table following Monday night’s goalless draw at Arsenal, with the west Londoners just two points behind leaders Liverpool.
The race for the top-flight title appears set to go down to the wire, with just six points separating first place from seventh after 17 games played.

And Chelsea captain Terry feels that Mourinho’s men can take encouragement from their position over Christmas.
“It [the title race] is wide open, it’s probably great for the neutral but not so great for the fans,” Terry told Chelsea’s website.
“The lower sides are putting on a show and they’ve upped their game.
“They’ve seen Man United, Man City and ourselves run away with the league before but that’s not the case this season, it’s down to one team to put a run of five or 10 games together and pull away.
“We’re quietly happy with where we are, we’re among the pack of four or five teams going into Christmas and in the New Year we hope to put a good run together.”
